The project in a nutshell

Young people with physical and sensory impairments still face important barriers in digital learning, social participation, and access to employment. Inclusive Horizons was created to address these challenges by strengthening digital accessibility, supporting inclusive learning, and equipping youth workers, educators, and families with practical tools across Europe.

The project foresees

  • improved digital accessibility in education and employment, ensuring that physically and sensorially impaired youth can fully engage with learning tools and opportunities;
  • strengthened competences of youth workers and educators, enabling them to design and deliver more inclusive learning experiences;
  • increased autonomy and employability of young people with disabilities, through targeted skill-building and support actions;
  • stronger support systems and collaboration between professionals, families, and stakeholders, creating a more inclusive ecosystem.

Outputs of the project

  • a multilingual accessibility toolkit available in accessible formats, including AI-based tools, Braille, audio, and sign language resources;
  • strengthened competences of youth workers and educators in digital accessibility and inclusive learning;
  • local capacity-building activities for physically and sensorially impaired youth and their families;
  • awareness campaigns and networking actions to promote inclusive employment practices and reduce stigma.
