VIEWS News October 2018

Dear members, partners and readers,

We hope you are fine even though it gets darker and colder outside.
In the beginning of this Views News we would like to give a friendly welcome to our new volunteers Adela from Romania and Sophia from Germany. Both girls began their EVS project on the 1st of October 2018. During their time in Liège Adela supports the IRHOV school, while Sophia works in Views Office. We wish both our volunteers good luck and a brilliant EVS experience.

In this edition of Views News we will travel a bit through Europe to inform you about different projects and events that took place last month. In the
beginning we will visit the Bulgarian capital Sofia to read about the General Assembly of Views International from last September. Later we accompany Anca and our Belgian volunteer Jérôme for his preparatory visit of his EVS in Murcia, Spain. Anca even traveled further on to co-facilitate a workshop from
the German Federation of the Blind (DBSV) in Berlin.

In the end of our newsletter we will return to Belgium and read about Corto's news on on the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), which he got live in Brussels. So have fun reading this edition and enjoy the autumn days!

Dream it! Do it! – Network of Collaborating Youth

During our activities we observed that young participants have very creative and nice ideas. Leaving them at idea phase is a waste. Therefore our German
partner, DBSV thought to give these participants some knowledge and boost to “Dream it and Doing it”

Find out what Dream it! Do it! proposed to its participants.

News about the European Solidarity Corps

In one of our previous issues we were saying that the European Commission has launched a new programme called the European Solidarity Corps (ESC). This programme would take the European Voluntary Service over and would offer also opportunities for job and internships.

At the beginning of October a first call for application was launched. This means that the programme has been officially started.

In the following article Corto will explain how The French speaking National Agency launched the European Solidarity Corps
