Dear members, readers and partners,
We hope you all made a good start into 2019 and although the first month is
now already over Views International wishes you once again a happy 2019.

This months’ edition is dominated by two different topics. The first
article concerns the newly created World Braille Day. The second article
informs you on what will generally change in the European youth work from
2019. The last article for this months’ newsletter is a press release from
thee Erasmus Student Network (ESN) on the Inclusive Mobility Alliance (IMA),
a project to plan the changes for the Erasmus + program coming up 2021. So,

1ST World Braille Day

On 4th January 2019 the World Blind Union (WBU) could proudly proclaim the
1st World Braille Day. Due to this occasion we will travel back in history
and explore from where the Braille system derived.

European youth work 2019

A lot of projects hosted by the European Union to support youth work are
about to expire. Therefore the European Youth Union met to develop a number
of recommendations which should be considered by Parliament and Commission in
the planning of new projects and their distribution of money for them. For
2019 they announced some interesting upcoming events.
