Beyond the reality, our National's Agency Online Conference

From April 20 to April 22 the French Belgian National Agency, Le bureau International Jeunesse (BIJ), dealing with the funds of the EU programmes for youth, organised a virtual conference.

During the conference several activities took place in different settings. The activities aimed to introducing the new Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Programmes and other programmes for young people the BIJ is running and to give the floor to beneficiaries of their programme.

On the 24th of September, the European Disability Form – EDF – organized a webinar in order to present volunteering opportunities within the European Solidarity corps programme. During the first part of the webinar, Andrei Popescu, programme manager at the EU commission directorate general for education, youth and culture explained all the opportunities of this programme and its related facilities for persons with disabilities, such as reasonable accommodations and other economic facilities.


On September 22nd Views Italia organized an on-line meeting on skype in order to introduce different study and work opportunities available abroad for Italian young visually impaired people. The meeting was held in Italian, except for the presentation of Views International activities held by Anca which was in English.

Inclusive Mobility Alliance puts forth recommendations

for a more inclusive Erasmus programme
Inclusive Mobility Alliance
has been officially launched on the 22nd of January 2019 at the European
Parliament. Gathering more than 20 organisations with expertise in Disability, Youth and Higher Education,
the Alliance aims at making Erasmus+ more inclusive. Students and young people taking part in Erasmus+
mobilities represent respectively approx. 0.17% and 2.8% of all beneficiaries. These low figures have been

The first training course for the project VIP and new technologies took place from the 19th to the 25th November in Liège. Organisations from Belgium,
Italy and Spain brought some participants to test the latest version of the EU founded project to improve the access to job market for visually impaired

Key to inclusion: European Solidarity Corps

“Key to inclusion: European solidarity corps” was a partnership-building activity organized by the Slovenian National Agency in collaboration with other Erasmus + National Agencies from Europe. The event took place between the second and the seventh of December 2018 including, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It gathered 80 participants (e.g. youth workers, etc.) coming from UK, Ireland, Belgium, Portugal, Cyprus, Slovenia, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Sweden, Lithuania, Finland, Estonia, Romania and Croatia.

Feel the View - collaboration with VIEWS Italy and Ford

So many of us who have a visual impairment must rely on descriptions from others and our own imaginations when we want to know about the world around us, but could this be changing?

VIEWS Italy have been working with global car manufacturer Ford to develop a new technology that enables blind people to read a landscape through their fingertips.

“Feel the View” is a device that fits on a car window and which uses haptic technology to translate an image of the landscape into a tactile format.
